Okay, I admit it, I'm a snob. My musical taste tends to lean towards slightly left of center to completly left of center. True, it's not as out there as it could be but it's not nearly accessable as, perhaps, it should be. However I've realized that the reason for that is less about a feeling of superiority, and much more about a feeling of adventerousness. I like the idea of digging through bins, whether that be literal (as in the store) or metaphorical (on the Internet). For me there is nothing like the hunt for a great new discovery, and the satisfaction that comes along with it., So, to fascillitate possible suggestions from people: The Arcade Fire, Albert Ayler, Nikhil Banerjee, Asha Bhosle and other lovely Bollywood Music from the 60s and 70s, Borbetomagus, Peter Brtzmann, CCCC, Crass, Coil, John Coltrane (esp Ascension), Dog Faced Hermans, the Erstwhile label, The Fiery Furnaces, Diamanda Gals, A Girl Called Eddy, godspeed you black emperor!, The Hafler Trio, Jolie Holland, Iran, Juno, Mustafa Kandirali, Mike Ladd, MIMEO, Marissa Nadler, Joanna Newsom, Nurse With Wound, Olivia Tremor Control, Valentina Ponomareva, Radiohead, the Rune Grammofon label (Food, Arve Henriksen, Nils kland, Maja Ratkje, Supersilent, etc.), DJ/Rupture, The Shibusashirazu Orchestra, Spiritualized, Swans, the Sublime Frequencies label, Sun City Girls, Tarentel, This Heat, Amon Tobin, Underworld, Otomo Yoshihides New Jazz Quintet, and many more!

I like books that kind of fall apart at the seams. If that means that they are to loosely stitched together, or simply too big for their britches it's equally applicable to my tastes. So I like Julio Cortazar's Hopscotch and Cronopios and Famas, William Gaddis's The Recognitions, Robbe-Grillet's Project for a Revolution in New York, Beckett's prose, Ferlosio's The Adventures of the Ingenious Alfanhui, Patchen's The Journal of Albion Moonlight, Lewis Carrol, Krasznahorkai' Melancholy of Resistace and many other's who I also don't feeling like organizing in any meaningful fashion.

I like creative writing and do it far too seldomly. I like languages even though I don't know any languages other than English (and have plenty of trouble with that one). That especially applies to Sanskrit. Man, I love Sanskrit, especially Devanagari. Don't even get me started! Oh dear! I'll talk your ear off.
